Another night of ice

Although the temperatures are above freezing, there’s still a lot of ice out there. The ice brought down a lot of trees – onto powerlines, across roads, into buildings and cars. And as ice-laden as they are, more will probably fall before the ice melts.

  1. It is sad to see so many damaged trees — especially that poor oak tree.

    Experimentation has shown that one of the ways to save trees and power lines is to run a helicopter overhead to shake the ice off. I wonder if anyone remembers that from the last big ice storm?
