Jason Rosenhouse finds some fascinating quote mining in Behe‘s The Edge of Evolution. Apparently Behe leaves out bits of sentences (sans ellipses) which totally change the meaning of Sean Carroll quote. In the same bullet point he twists another Carroll quote (which Carroll makes about non-Darwinians) into a criticism of (neo-)Darwinians.
I used to think that Behe was the least bad of the IDists. I feel like I need to re-evaluate that position…but I just can’t think of anyone less bad…
